Hey Meghan. I just wanted to say you made the right choice by joining the church. Things may seem confused right now, but God is changing you internally and it’s confusing at first. You probably feel you don’t fit in with everyone at church and that you want to keep strong in the faith so you feel you don’t fit in with your old life and friends. You might even find yourself distancing from people and things you used to love. It’s hard at first. Just bow your head and let people know what’s happening in your humility. You’ll come to find you fit in perfectly with everyone at and outside Church. We’re all the lost children of God, we all just choose a different path. You chose the right one. Just remember God is the light, Jesus Christ is your guide, the gospel is your path, the commandments are you railings, repentance your goal and tears your badges. Your church friends will be there with God’s love to hold you up when you feel you can’t walk anymore. In time you will find you fit in perfectly among us, and your faith will grow and you will contribute much. Even those who deny their faith will respect you and see the light in you. Don’t be deceived by their laughter and mockery, it’s simply them afraid to take their steps towards salvation. You’ve already taken yours. Our Dear Heavenly Father is far from finished with you. You have a heart of gold. It just needs some polishing. He has angels for that. They will come and remind you always that you were once and will always be an Angel of the Lord.
